She really enjoys music so I was just sitting on the couch holding her with some music on. She dances and claps her hands... It is really cute. In the middle of a song, she just stops dancing, sits really still and looks right at a big picture of Al (Bart's dad) that we have in our living room. She is just staring at it with this contemplative look on her face. I said, "Grace, that's Grandpa." She smiled. I said it a few more times, "Grace, that is Grandpa Al." She is still looking right at it. At this point I had goosebumps.
I said, "Do you see Grandpa in your dreams?" She smiled again. By now I am teary eyed. She is still staring at his picture. The next thing I said was, "say hi to Grandpa for us, okay." And she starts waving at his picture. Note that she never waves when you just tell her to. She only waves if someone shows her first, if someone is waving at her.
I felt the spirit really strong today letting me know that Al is watching over his family. I honestly believe Gracie knows her Grandpa. Life is hard, it has been so hard without Al. We miss him terribly but it is moments like this that remind us that we ARE an eternal family if we keep our covenants, that there is a life after this and that our Father in Heaven loves us so much. We love you Al.

I agree, that's so sweet!!!!
So sweet...ya gotta love little ones :o)
Kiss her face for me!
Wow, that is an awesome story! I believe that the reason babies can't talk is because they are still so close to the veil and still tied to heaven so closely that they would tell us all about it if they could talk. I totally believe that she probably sees Al a lot. That is so neat!
oh man Paige.. I still have chills! I love hearing stories like that.. thank you for sharing. Her Grandpa Al is lucky to have his little angel of a granddaughter.. I truly believe he is watching over you and your family. Love ya.
Paige you made me cry at work!! Thanks for sharing such a sweet story. I hope you guys are well. Hugs and Kisses!!!
wow that is the neatest story!!!
Wow, I like this story. What 9 month old stops to stare at a picture when having the time of her life dancing around? The circumstance is particularly interesting to me because a lot of my epiphanies have happened when I was having fun, goofing off, and caught up in a moment of good humor. That is so cool she waved to the picture too.
